Bat Safety

Parents and coaches, one of the things that becomes common for kids at baseball practice is to pick up a baseball bat. There’s a few rules we have in place to ensure the safety of everyone. It sometimes takes a village. If you see anyone not following these principles, please kindly let them know.

1. Unless you are up to bat you should not have a bat in your hands outside the dugout.

2. If you have a bat in your hand you MUST have a helmet on.

3. Hitting in practice and before games should only be done from home plate or the batting cage. Under no circumstances should a team warm up their hitters with live baseballs in the outfield.

4. Under no circumstances should a player have a bat in their hand outside of the field of play swinging it in any manner.

Thank you for your attention to this!
