Opening Day is February 24th from 4pm-9pm                 BOUNCE HOUSES - DJ - HOME RUN DERBY -  SKILLS COMPETITION - TEXAS ROADHOUSE -  WIFFLE BALL - KICKBALL                                                                                      We are looking forward to kicking off our Spring 2018 Season with a spirited parade led by Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department. After teams are introduced and we get a group photo, plan on staying for a delicious Texas Roadhouse dinner while the kids enjoy tons of activities we have scheduled throughout the evening. This is a fun event for the entire family and a great opportunity for the kids to meet fellow ball players and their families.  PARADE INFO Please have players arrive at Grace Lutheran Church at 3:30 to get in their parade order. Grace Lutheran Advent Church and Covenant Church are teaming up to to welcome SBLL and to provide drinks and snacks as we arrive. Please thank them for their hospitality. They are also happy to allow us to leave our cars in the back lot if we would like to park and walk the parade with our children.  BANNERS/PROPS for parade Team parents/TEAMS - Feel free to be as spirited as you like on opening day. Flags, props, banners for your team are encouraged during the parade. Have fun!!! WHAT TO WEAR ON OPENING DAY Uniforms will be distributed at the church on opening day. Please arrive at 3:30 so you can get your shirt and hat and get in parade order. Please have your child wear pants, belt, socks as instructed by your team manager.  HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS WANTED High School Volunteers for concession and bounce houses. Please remember to bring your Bright Future forms so we can sign off on your hours.   Volunteers Please Sign Up Here TEAM VOLUNTEERS If we do not get enough High School Volunteers, we will be asking teams to cover time slots during opening day in concession and on the bounce houses. Please ask any high schoolers you know. They do need hours for community service and may be happy to help us! YETI 65 COOLER RAFFLE Your team manager will have tickets to sell by the end of this week. We will raffle off two Yeti 65 Coolers on Opening Day. You do not need to be present to win.  Please ask for details or visitwww.sbll.net to purchase your ticket.  Please support SBLL. Tickets are $10 each. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR OPENING DAY Available soon on sbll.net UMPIRE TRAINING Bryon Neff and Ron Pierce will be having an umpire training clinic from 2:00-3:30 on Opening Day. Any Majors players and above including any parents are eligible to be umpires and participate in our umpire rewards program - for every 10 games, umpires will receive $100 gift card.
